Livestock 69 NLIS Tags now available on-line Victorian cattle and sheep producers can now order their electronic NLIS tags on-line. DPI’s ‘Livestock Tags On-line’ service is the easy, fast and secure way of ordering NLIS (Cattle) and electronic NLIS (Sheep) tags - 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Producers can simply go to the DPI website: www.dpi.vic.gov.au and follow the prompts to ‘Livestock Tags On-line’. They will be asked for their Property Identification Code (PIC) and information about their property to enable DPI to confirm their identity. Using their credit card, they can then purchase the tags they need. Tags should be delivered within 10 working days. NLIS (Cattle) ear tags are available to Victorian cattle producers for the subsidised price of $1.65 each, a reduction of $0.15 per tag on the retail price prior to 30 March 2008. The new NLIS (Cattle) tag price has been achieved through the cooperative efforts of DPI and the Victorian cattle industry represented by the Cattle Compensation Fund Advisory Committee.
